With the new year underway and nicer whether only a few months from here, many minds are starting to turn towards home renovations. If your bathroom is in need of an update, check out these 2020 Bathroom Trends that we’re expecting to take the reno world by storm!
Marble. And we don’t mean cake! What has become a staple in the kitchen is now making its way to the bathroom. Similar to the kitchen, it can be placed as your countertops, but some folks are taking it to the nth degree and working in full-on marble walls! Either way, marble can give your bathroom an ultra-luxe feeling.
Concrete. If ultra-luxe is not your style, 2020 is expecting to see an increase in concrete usage in the bathroom. Whether your style is minimalist and statement-making, you can combine those two things with concrete walls, or a more subtle countertop.
Texture. Tiles are a mainstay of the modern bathroom, and that is not likely to ever change, but its time to consider how we use tiles. Unconventional shapes, new patterns, and rough-cut tiles can help give you an interesting look and new textures.
Biophilic Design. Most of us keep some kind of plants in our homes, but how many of us have moved some into our bathrooms? Described as a concept used to help increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through design, biophilia can add a new vibe to the bathrooms in your home, and can be as simple as a few potted plants, or incorporating an indoor garden into your newest renovations.
Art. There is no written rule that says your art needs to hang in the hallway. Bring some of it into the bathroom to extend your personality. If your home has more than one bathroom, you could even give them themes. We know one family who uses one bathroom for framed concert posters!
