Welcome to 2022! Every year brings us a new set of trends to keep an eye on, and this year is no different. While certain things will always be in style (White kitchens, marble countertops), sometimes it’s just nice to follow a trend. Here are our three favorite 2022 kitchen trends.
Rounded Edges
While archways and big looping curves have been part of interior design for a while now, they’ve now found their way to the kitchen. Instead of sharp corners, roundness is helping soften the look of kitchens, and give folks a comfortable space to sit and take in the moment. A long rounded edge means more space for friends and family, and isn’t that what it’s all about?
Subtly Patterned White Surfaces
A nice white kitchen will always be in style. What can change though, is the small stuff. For some folks, a white kitchen can seem sterile, or uninviting. For those recommend a subtly patterned white surface. A white marble countertop or an island made from a surface with a textured appearance can provide a warmth that white on its own can’t always do.
Wood Grain
A trip to your local home decor store or hardware store will show the importance of nature in our design. Live edge wood, as well as natural grain, are making an impact on how our kitchens look this year. Forget paint and wallpaper, nature is providing the textures and looks this year.
