Pantone colours are the de facto standard in the art and paint worlds. As of 2019, they have over 2100 different colours in their matching system. Everything from Flame, to Pink Yarrow, Pantone colours, and their associated codes are everywhere. Each year designers, paint companies, and contractors wait for the announcement of the Pantone Colour of the Year.
In 2020 Pantone gave us Classic Blue, a deep blue shade that is both comforting and relatable. After a difficult 2020, Pantone stopped up and gave us two colours of the year for 2021. The calming and soothing Ultimate Gray, and the beautiful Illuminating.
This brings us to 2022. After another difficult year, Pantone has come through again, this time with a new “Colour whose courageous presence encourages personal inventiveness and creativity.” Say hello to Very Peri. We can already see this colour at play on front doors, accent walls, and trim throughout so many homes.
